The study documents in detail the direct involvement of Gestapo officers in the systematic plunder of property and in crimes committed in the ghetto and at the ZAL\/KL Plaszow concentration camp.\n\nAn important element of the analysis is the reconstruction of the operational methods employed by the German security apparatus, which relied on an extensive network of approximately 2,000 informants and agents of various nationalities. This network was used to locate Jews in hiding and to infiltrate the structures of the Polish underground resistance.
