The applications available on this website allow users to analyze the spatial trajectories of individual people.

Through the first application, users can trace the lives of selected individuals described in the database. Users can view locations associated with all individuals or narrow the selection down to a single person. Clicking on a pin on the map also provides a brief description of the location and, in some cases, a short historical description. The interactive map is particularly useful for people unfamiliar with the geographical area in which the tragic lives of the individuals described unfolded.

The second application is a narrative map that provides a spatial illustration of a presentation delivered at the Galicia Jewish Museum in Kraków on 12 March 2026, as part of events commemorating the anniversary of the liquidation of the Kraków Ghetto. The application consists of three parts:

  1. Visualization of several dozen addresses located on Józefińska Street during the period of the Kraków Ghetto.
  2. Comparison of the ghetto plan and historical map of Kraków against a contemporary visualization based on OpenStreetMap (OSM).
  3. Visualization of the lives of three individuals who lived on Józefińska Street.

The third application allows users to analyze, in a geographical context, advertisements published in the Gazeta Żydowska. The first stage is focuses on advertisements from Józefińska Street.

The final application is a simple browser for the spatial layers used in the project.
